Rhinoplasty: Will My Recovery Period Be Long?

Published on April 19, 2018 by

There are some procedures that do not require a long recovery period. These procedures usually focus on the removal of excess tissue as well as skin tightening. Other procedures may require a long recovery period because of how intense they are and how significant the work performed is.

Rhinoplasty is a fairly intense procedure that can involve removing cartilage and fracturing bones. This causes a lot of trauma to the tissue and can result in swelling that lasts for a long period of time. In general, it can take two years to see your full results.

Your nose will not have an unattractive appearance for two years. After roughly six months, a majority of the swelling should subside and your results will start to come in. If you are interested in rhinoplasty and would like to schedule a consultation, please contact Singhal Plastic Surgery.
